-definitely a need to be organized, in order to efficiently teach and find everything - my stuff and the things from last year's teacher. SO MANY TEXT BOOKS and folders and school supplies and GRADES and homework!
-went out for a teacher store outing/drink with Ms. J after school (in the rain!) - need to balance out life and school
-diverse students - i keep finding out more and more about them:
diabetes
muslim dietary and cultural restrictions
adoptees
hispanic students
severe allergies
learning needs
-i want to talk to the principal about getting in touch with my students parents before school starts and how to handle some of these differences so that everyone is comfortable in my room. being at a school that used to be so religious and so traditional in terms of types of learners is going to be a new setting for me - and some of my children. I feel really strongly about character education and teamwork and tolerance and hope that is conveyed in how I run things in my room!
---not to mention, the panic attacks have officially begun!
